Baby Booties is authored by Susie Johns, a graduate of the Slade School of Fine Art in London. Susie is the author of more than 30 craft books covering a range of subjects, including knitting, crochet, papier machΓ©, and embroidery. She has contributed to magazines such as Let's Knit, Crafts Beautiful, Embroidery, Needlecraft, Woman's Weekly, Family Circle, Practical Parenting, and Art Attack, and has appeared on television demonstrating various crafts.

She particularly enjoys recycling and reinventing through art and craft activities. Susie is also a qualified teacher, running workshops in drawing and painting, knitting and crochet, embroidery, and 3D design. She is the founder member of the East Greenwich knitting group, "Knitting Night at The Pelton".

About the Author

Susie Johns is an artist and designer. She has written dozens of instructional books on a range of different topics. She studied Fine Art at Ravensbourne College, went on complete an MA at the prestigious Slade School in London, and later gained a post-graduate teaching qualification (PGCE) at the University of Greenwich. As well as teaching drawing and painting at a local community college, Susie has years of experience running life-drawing classes and leading workshops focussing on pen and ink, mixed media, artists' sketchbooks, drawing for health and wellbeing, and family art. She also teaches classes online on various platforms including YouTube.
