About the Author
Adam Briggs, who performs as Briggs, is an Indigenous Australian rapper, recordlabel owner, comedy writer, and actor. Briggs became well known as a solo rapper, signing with Golden Era Records in 2009, before co-founding the hip hop duo A.B. Original in 2016. Extending his career beyond music, Briggs has appeared in several television series on ABC: as a writer and actor for the second season of the sketch comedy Black Comedy in 2016; playing the role of Maliyan in the drama series Cleverman in the same year; becoming a regular cast member on news satire program The Weekly with Charlie Pickering; and more recently a writer for Matt Groening's new show Disenchantment.
Kate Moon is an illustrator, character designer and 3D artist from Melbourne. She specialises in character work, visual development and asset production across a wide range of mediums, from animation to print. Kate has worked on major animated campaigns for clients such as Target, Drumstick, Honda and City of Melbourne, as well as feature film projects including Spongebob: Sponge Out of Water, Ghostbusters 2016 and Game of Thrones.
Rachael Sarra is a contemporary Aboriginal artist from Goreng Goreng Country. Rachael uses art as a powerful tool to educate and share Aboriginal culture and its evolution. Rachael's work often challenges and explores society's perception of what Aboriginal art and identity is.
Rachael graduated with a Bachelor of Visual Communication Design from the Queensland College of Art in Brisbane. Her work ‘Two Worlds’ was projected onto the William Jolly Bridge, and she has worked with major clients such as Suncorp Super Netball, Life Apparel Co., Concrete Jellyfish Co., Australia Post and Kmart.
