About the Author

Lee Atkinson spent more than 10 months driving 40,000 kilometres around Australia researching Explore Australia by Camper Trailer. Her road trip took her across some of the country's most iconic landscapes and destinations and into places where few other travellers roam, so she knows exactly where to go if you want to beat the crowds. One of Australia’s most experienced travel writers, and two-time winner of the prestigious Australian Society of Travel Writers Best Adventure Travel Story award, Lee has been writing about her adventures on and off the road for Australian newspapers, magazines and travel guides since 1991. She is the author of Explore Australia’s Driving Holidays Around Australia, and is a contributor to the Explore Australia Camping Around Australia guide and the road-tripping bible Explore Australia. This is her eleventh book. See www.leeatkinson.com.au.
