Description
Kafka Journal by Bodleian Library pays homage to Franz Kafka, best known as the author of The Metamorphosis, The Trial, and The Castle. Although Kafka passed away before reaching the age of forty, his groundbreaking work has left a profound cultural legacy, continuing to influence writers and artists today.
Kafka was a highly visual writer, often drawing sketches and doodles in his own notebooks and on manuscript pages. Many of these are cartoon-like and androgynous 'everyman' figures, expressing profound emotion through their exaggerated body language and elongated limbs.
Ten of these sketches are reproduced in this stylish hardback journal, which features unlined pages for your own doodles and a handy ribbon marker.
